A Time for Hope
Have your days been gloomy? When sunshine hours grow shorter, when clouds often cover the sky, when Thanksgiving is behind you and Christmas is yet to arrive, you may experience days of dreariness. However, you have confidence that warmer weather will return, that blue skies will abound, and that joy will fill your heart. This confidence is the underpinning of hope. So adjust your thoughts about the looks of the day, and focus on all that the Savior has brought into your life. The Lord has provided a cloak of praise instead of a disheartened spirit (Isaiah 61:3, NASB). Revel in the Christmas joys to come, and fond memories of Christmases from the past, and be thankful. God is the ultimate Source of all your hope, whether in gloomy days or sunny!
